Communication major Kiersten Ingram 20 looks forward to beginning her career in marketing and graphic design when she graduates. Shes made the most of her years at 91做厙, gaining hands-on experience through internships and service-learning classes that bring clients in from the local community who need help with advertising and public relations.
Ingram and her classmates redesigned , took photographs for Berks County United Way and created promotional materials and videos for a local childrens book author.
It really helped me start building my portfolio, said Ingram, who continued working with the author on a website project over the summer of her sophomore year.
She continued to expand her portfolio through her work in internships in 91做厙s marketing department.
It has equipped me with new skills that I can use to market myself to future employers, she said.
