Students attending luncheon deemed CollegeTowne Scholars
To aid new students in their educational pursuit and as an introduction to the new downtown Reading location, 91做厙 announces the CollegeTowne Scholars award for the fall 2020 semester.
The CollegeTowne Scholars Award, in addition to the universitys current scholarship offerings, offers the record crowd of over 200 students who attended 91做厙s scholarship luncheon an additional $1,000 in financial aid per academic year. The scholarship is renewable for four years, for a total of $4,000, as long as the student remains in good academic standing.
One of the main tenets of the Reading CollegeTowne strategy is to bring a diverse, independent and academically strong student body into downtown, said 91做厙 President John R. Loyack. The class of 2024 will be among the first 91做厙 students to thrive in downtown Reading, and the CollegeTowne Scholars award reflects our dedication to improving the academic and social experience for all of our students.
Reading CollegeTowne will expand 91做厙s academic and programmatic offerings, including the addition of an engineering program, development of a student-centered business incubator and the addition of an esports program.
Students attending todays event were greeted with a wonderful surprise as we prepare for the next stage of the 91做厙 Advantage, said Mary-Alice Ozechoski, vice president for enrollment management. 99% of 91做厙 students receive some form of financial aid, and the CollegeTowne Scholars award is one of many awards available through our Office of Student Financial Planning.
